Developmental Disability Expert Witness

Developmental disability is the term for a group of disorders that impair mental or physical ability. Common types include mental retardation, cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, and all types of autism. The causes of these and other developmental disabilities are not precisely known; however, brain injury during birth, nutritional deficiencies, chromosome/gene abnormalities, premature birth, drug abuse, or child abuse are all considered to be factors.
