Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) Expert Witness

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a respiratory disease. Specifically, it is caused by the co-occurrence of both chronic bronchitis and emphysema. Together these two ailments cause the airways to narrow so that there is not enough oxygen in the lungs; patients suffer wheezing and shortness of breath. This disease becomes worse over time. It is commonly a result of smoking.
